Zhiwei Fu obtained his MBA and Ph.D. degrees from Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland. He spent 12 years at Fannie Mae, where his last position was the Director of Information Security and Technology Risk Management. Between 2012 and 2016, he was with IBM as a Senior Principal on Cyber Security and Privacy. He provided expert service and leadership to Cybersecurity, IT governance, operational risk management and compliance practices, as well as counter fraud and financial crimes in commercial, public and federal sectors. He was responsible for developing strategy for growth of IBM public sector cybersecurity intelligence & operations practice. Since October 2016, he is the Director of Information Security and Risk Management at Capital One. In addition, he teaches on Cyber Security and Advanced Data Analytics for the School of Business at the George Washington University.
