Katherine Gronberg

Dr. Katherine Gronberg is Vice President for Government Affairs at ForeScout Technologies Inc., a publicly traded technology company providing industry-leading continuous monitoring and risk mitigation offerings, real-time visibility, incident response orchestration, and network access control for traditional IT assets and beyond, including Internet of Things. Previously, she served as chair of MSFS’ Concentration in Global Business and Finance and designed and taught an MSFS course on cyber security. Katherine served for six years on the Senate’s Subcommittee on Commerce, Justice, and Science. As staff director in 2005-2006, she managed all aspects of the $52 billion fiscal 2006 spending bill for the Departments of Commerce and Justice, NASA and NSF, from the drafting of the bill and report, to Committee and Senate floor action, to the negotiation of a final conference agreement with the House Appropriations Subcommittee. From 2000 to 2005, her responsibilities included appropriations for the Department of State, the Department of Commerce, and portions of the Department of Justice, U.S. trade agencies, and several independent agencies, including the Securities and Exchange Commission, the Federal Communications Commission, the Federal Trade Commission, and the Small Business Administration. Later, Katherine was vice president of consultancy Morhard & Associates and founded Gronberg Consulting, a government affairs consulting firm whose mission was to help companies understand government and interact more successfully with policymakers. Her consulting experience spanned many sectors, including defense, aviation, homeland security, building materials, and information security. She received a B.A. from Yale University and an M.B.A. from the University of Virginia.
